About the event
crafting with the season: elemental altar boards
November is a time our culture focuses on gratitude and it is a perfect season to create objects of meaning; pieces that can hold our intentions through the winter months ahead.
In this immersive workshop, we’ll craft one-of-a-kind altar boards adorned with natural materials such as moss, stones, lichen, branches, feathers, bones, and forest-found treasures. These pieces can serve as altar objects, wall hangings, or totems for your spiritual space to serve as reminders of the intentions you set and the gratitude you hold.
We’ll begin with a grounding through meditation and inviting in the presence of the elements and our ancestors. We will sit with these energies to envision our interconnectedness and the gifts Nature provides us for our journey. With intuition as our guide, each participant will create a personal piece that weaves together beauty, memory, and meaning.
