In a world where commodity and convenience has taken over our default setting, we imagine a world where money isn't at the forefront of our interactions with our enjoyment of life. Gift ecomony is a word floating around here these days, as well as trade and barter.
We have recently taken a big step towards having a community space for herbal learning and connecting.
The renovation of a shed on the property into a classroom has been driven by helpful hands in our community. Utilizing donated time and reclaimed materials, we are creating a medicinal garden from which we can sit with the plants, harvest and go straight into the classroom to learn medicine making!
We couldn't have done this without our community; folks who believe in the mission to spread the traditional ways of being and healing with plants.
The shed now has insulation and interior walls, the windows have been replaced and theres now a beautiful floor instead of concrete! Garden beds and the Spiral Bed has been built with room for future beds and more plantings of medicinals.
We've accomplished so much this spring and are soon picking up again when the weather cools and the smoke clears.
